I’ve taken on the exciting challenge of watching, ranking, and reviewing all movies and shows within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After diving into all the action and adventure, here are my thoughts and final rankings!

Rank | Movie Title (Year) | (My Rank) | (Date I Watched It)

1 | WandaVision (2021) | 4.5/5.0 | Mar 5, 2021

WandaVision is hands-down my favorite MCU project. Its portrayal of grief is raw, emotional, and unlike anything I’ve seen in a superhero story. I love when I can empathize with the “villain,” and Wanda was just a heartbroken woman who wanted her husband and kids back. Heart-wrenching and unforgettable.

2 | Agatha All Along (2024) | 4.5/5.0 | Oct 30, 2024

I’ll always miss gay witch Wednesdays. Agatha All Along feels like the magical sendoff we didn’t know we needed. Kathryn Hahn completely owns every frame. I mean, she’s all camp, chaos, and charisma. This show is not just a spin-off; it’s a reminder of the electric energy fandom can bring when it rallies around something unapologetically bold. Long live Agatha and her queer coven.

3 | Avengers: Endgame (2019) | 4.5/5.0 | Apr 25, 2019

I first saw Avengers: Endgame the day it came out, and I still remember exactly how it felt. The packed theater, the nervous energy, the collective gasps and cheers. I wish I could bottle up all of those feelings and keep them forever. There was something so electric about that experience, like we were all part of something much bigger than just a movie.

This film really is special. It was the culmination of over a decade of storytelling, character arcs, and moments that shaped an entire generation of moviegoers.

I didn’t realize at the time that it was the end of such an incredible era, and part of me still grieves that. The MCU hasn’t quite felt the same since, and maybe it never will.

4 | Thor: Ragnarok (2017) | 4.5/5.0 | Mar 23, 2018

I fell for Marvel’s horrendous humor while watching Thor: Ragnarok—and honestly, I kind of loved it. The jokes are non-stop, often ridiculous, and sometimes feel like they undercut the emotional stakes… but somehow, it all works.

I know the humor isn’t for everyone, and I usually roll my eyes at Marvel’s need to make everything a punchline, but this time, I gave in. It’s loud, colorful, and completely unhinged in the best way. So yeah, I’m admitting it: Ragnarok got me.

5 | Black Panther (2018) | 4.5/5.0 | Jan 22, 2023

My favorite thing about Black Panther is its strong character development. Every major player feels layered and purposeful, but Killmonger especially reminded me what a well-written villain actually looks like. His motivations weren’t just clear—they were powerful, complex, and uncomfortably relatable. It’s rare to walk away from a Marvel movie thinking that the villain made some valid points, and Black Panther nails that.

The soundtrack? Iconic. The casting? Flawless. Every actor feels perfectly placed, and the cultural depth woven into every frame makes it stand apart from the rest of the MCU.

“WHAT ARE THOSEEEE”

6 | Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023) | 4.5/5.0 | May 13, 2023

I almost want to give Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 five stars for the emotions alone. This movie hit me harder than I expected. And it was more than once. It’s raw, tender, and unafraid to sit in the pain and love these characters carry with them. After everything they’ve been through, this final chapter feels like a proper goodbye, and it hurts in all the right ways.

This gang will always hold a special place in my heart.

The found family dynamic, the incredible music choices, and the sheer heart packed into every moment. It’s all just so beautifully done. You can feel the love behind every scene, every character beat, every needle drop.

7 | Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) | 4.0/5.0 | May 18, 2022

Cap is such a simp for America, and somehow, it works. The Winter Soldier takes that loyalty and starts to peel it back in a way that feels grounded and real. I really appreciate how it challenges Steve’s beliefs without completely breaking him.

I can’t put any of the Russo brothers’ movies under 4 stars. The storytelling is absolutely phenomenal. The pacing is tight, the action feels grounded, and the stakes are actually believable. It plays like a political thriller wrapped in a superhero movie, and it delivers on every level.

Bucky’s reintroduction is also so well done. He’s terrifying and tragic at the same time, and the emotional tension between him and Steve brings a whole new depth to the story. This is where the bromance really starts to mean something.

8 | Avengers: Infinity War (2018) | 4.0/5.0 | May 23, 2019

Honestly, it’s a wild ride from start to finish. The stakes feel massive and the ensemble cast works so well together. It’s chaotic, intense, and heartbreaking in all the right ways.

There are a few moments where the story feels a little rushed—like they had so much to fit in that some things got skimmed over. But overall, it’s an emotional rollercoaster that sets up Endgame perfectly.

9 | Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) | 4.0/5.0 | May 23, 2022

I gave this movie an immediate 3 stars just for Baby Groot and that unforgettable Mr. Blue Sky opening alone. I mean, how could you not?

Then it gets another star because this movie is phenomenal at diving deeper into the Guardians’ family bond and their love for one another. I always love seeing characters who’ve been hated, rejected, or misunderstood their entire lives come together not just to save the galaxy, but to truly care for each other. That emotional core makes the film absolutely beautiful.

Overall, Vol. 2 balances humor, heart, and action in a way that just hits different. It’s goofy and fun, but it never forgets the importance of found family.

10 | Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) | 4.0/5.0 | Feb 9, 2023

This movie is incredibly powerful. I cannot help but love the women of Wakanda so deeply. They bring strength, grace, and complexity to every scene. This movie is a moving tribute filled with heartbreak, fear, culture, and a deep love that’s portrayed so beautifully.

It’s more than just a sequel—it’s a heartfelt story about loss and resilience, honoring what came before while looking toward the future.

The emotional weight hits hard, and the cultural pride shines through every frame.

11 | Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) | 4.0/5.0 | May 22, 2022

We are Groot.

This movie takes me back to when I liked Chris Pratt, before he became… whatever he is now. But honestly, the real star here is the phenomenal soundtrack, as we all already know. It’s like the perfect mixtape that somehow makes every scene better.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a fun, feel-good space adventure with heart, humor, and a killer playlist. Can’t beat that combo.

12 | Loki (2021) | 4.0/5.0 | Feb 17, 2022

Loki is my favorite Marvel character and this show perfectly captures his charm, mischief, and unexpected depth. It’s smart, surprising, and genuinely addictive. Every episode just makes me want more of the king of michief.

Tom Hiddleston seems to have chemistry with everyone and that shines in his friendship with Owen Wilson throughout the series.

13 | Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) | 4.0/5.0 | Jan 23, 2020

A fun, charming follow-up to Endgame. Peter’s coming-of-age story is solid, and the movie balances humor and action pretty well. The plot twists kept me hooked, and the chemistry between the cast is great.

Also, I hate Jake Gyllenhaal, so I loved seeing him play the bad guy here because it gave me permission to boo him every time he was on screen. Honestly, that made the movie even more fun.

14 | Iron Man 3 (2013) | 4.0/5.0 | May 15, 2022

Iron Man 3 was all about Tony Stark, not just Iron Man. This movie dives deep into his struggles, fears, and vulnerabilities, showing us the man behind the armor like never before. The character development here is exactly what the MCU needed to bridge the gap to the Iron Man we all know and love.

It is easily the best Iron Man movie because it is not just about flashy suits and action.

It is about Tony’s journey, his growth, and his humanity. The way it balances humor, heart, and high stakes makes it stand out in the whole MCU lineup.

15 | Iron Man (2008) | 4.0/5.0 | May 4, 2022

RDJ has and always will be the face of the MCU. I enjoyed every minute of this movie. Now that we know how Tony’s story ends, watching it from the beginning feels even more meaningful.

Also, watching Iron Man is way more fun now that I work for the Department of the Air Force. I loved spotting the planes, missions, and locations—it adds a whole new layer to the experience.

16 | Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) | 4.0/5.0 | Sep 4, 2021

While I wasn’t completely sold on the main actors, I can’t deny how fun and engaging this movie was. The action sequences were some of the best Marvel has done in a while. The bus fight alone was worth the ticket. The choreography, effects, and energy were all top-notch, and the blend of fantasy and grounded storytelling really worked.

17 | Ant-Man (2015) | 4.0/5.0 | Aug 18, 2015

I love Paul Rudd. He brings such a unique charm to the MCU, and Ant-Man is a perfect example of that. The movie strikes a great balance between Marvel’s humor and action, with just the right amount of heart.

Luis completely steals the show. I really hope we see more of him in future Marvel projects because his storytelling scenes are unforgettable.

18 | Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter (2013) | 4.0/5.0 | May 3, 2022

I love women.

Peggy is confident, capable, and absolutely deserves more screen time. This short was such a satisfying glimpse into her post-Captain America journey, and it reminded me how underused she’s been in the MCU. Give her everything.

19 | Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) | 3.5/5.0 | May 12, 2023

I love Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and I really enjoy the mentor dynamic between him and Tony. That relationship adds a lot of heart. I don’t love this movie as much as I thought I did on rewatch, but it still has its moments. The humor lands, and the backstory is entertaining enough.

It definitely gets better in the next movies once MJ, Ned, and Peter become a true trio.

Also, MJ? Slayyyy.

20 | Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) | 3.5/5.0 | May 6, 2022

Multiverse of Madness had me in tears thanks to Elizabeth Olsen. She continues to deliver raw, powerful performances that make me feel like I’m the one grieving. Her acting was absolutely phenomenal and the emotional core of the entire film.

The visual effects were everything. Every scene was stunning to look at. I genuinely want to print half this movie and hang it on my walls. It was that beautiful.

As for Cumberbatch, I’ve never liked him and this didn’t change my mind. Sorry, not sorry.

21 | Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) | 3.5/5.0 | May 2, 2022

Three of the stars are for Agent Carter alone. She is everything. This is probably my favorite Avenger’s origin story as there’s something so grounded and sincere about it. It all begins here, and it sets the tone for so much of what’s to come in the MCU.

Bucky, Peggy, and Steve make such a strong trio, and watching their early relationships unfold adds so much depth to later films. It might not be the flashiest Marvel movie, but it has heart, and I’ll always appreciate it for that.

22 | Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) | 3.5/5.0 | Feb 27, 2021

Honestly, I looove Ultron as a villain. He brings such a chilling and smart presence that really elevates the movie. The action scenes are great too, but the plot sometimes feels a little messy and some characters do not get enough development.

Still, this movie sets up a lot for the MCU’s future and Ultron alone makes it worth watching.

23 | Captain America: Civil War (2016) | 3.5/5.0 | Aug 19, 2022

If anything, this movie shows exactly why men need to learn to communicate better. So much of the conflict could have been avoided with a real conversation.

Also, calling a parking lot fight a war is hilarious.

Wanda, honey, I’m sorry, but I’m team Iron Man on this one.

24 | Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) | 3.5/5.0 | Jul 17, 2021

Fan service.

Spider-Man: No Way Home might not have the best script, but it is an absolute pleasure to watch.

The nostalgia and the way it brings together different Spider-Man eras is so satisfying. The action is thrilling and the emotional moments really hit home. Overall, it’s a fun and heartfelt ride that fans will love.

25 | Thunderbolts* (2025) | 3.5/5.0 | May 26, 2025

Why does everyone in the MCU still live in New York City?

That said, this movie honestly felt like a return to the classic MCU energy I’ve been missing. It brought back that familiar vibe I love. And I’m convinced there are no two better characters than Yelena and Wanda.

On a personal level, I have to give myself some credit for managing my own depressive episodes better than the void’s chaos in the movie. But I get it my guy.

26 | Doctor Strange (2016) | 3.5/5.0 | Mar 18, 2024

I find Doctor Strange insufferable. His arrogance makes him hard to root for, and he constantly acts like he’s the smartest person in the room. He treated his partner poorly and never seems to face real consequences for it.

Benedict Cumberbatch’s portrayal doesn’t help either; it just emphasizes the character’s smugness instead of adding any depth. I just can’t get behind him.

That being said, it is a great movie and my beef with the main character is my issue.

27 | The Avengers (2012) | 3.5/5.0 | May 9, 2022

This is where my love for Loki began. Marvel really makes it hard to fully hate the villains sometimes, and Loki is a perfect example.

The end credit scene introducing Thanos for the first time was so exciting!

Watching the Avengers come together for the first time was just pure fun and created the perfect set up for some of the best movies in the MCU. But that’s just it: It’s a movie to set things up.

28 | Ms. Marvel (2022) | 3.5/5.0 | Aug 17, 2022

I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Marvel. The editing was far too cheesy at times, but it fit the youthful tone of the story. It was something different, age-appropriate, and genuinely enjoyable.

What stood out most was how refreshing it was to not relate to the main character, yet still be drawn in. I appreciated getting a glimpse into a culture I’m not very familiar with—it made the show feel unique and meaningful.

29 | The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (2022) | 3.5/5.0 | Dec 27, 2022

I absolutely love the Guardians. They’re always a joy to watch. This holiday special was cute and fun, but it didn’t add anything meaningful to the MCU. It felt more like a light bonus than something essential.

30 | I Am Groot: Groot’s Pursuit (2022) | 3.5/5.0 | Aug 17, 2022

Groot’s Pursuit was such a fun watch. Dance battles are exactly why I love Groot so much.

Just a reminder: he is Groot, and no one else comes close.

31 | Hawkeye (2021) | 3.5/5.0 | Dec 23, 2021

Hawkeye gets three solid stars thanks to Florence Pugh, who completely stole the show—especially with the hilarious “waait this is crazy” scene that still sticks with me. Her charm and timing added so much life to the series.

I’ll give another half star for the show’s effort to make Hawkeye more relatable and human, which almost worked. Almost.

32 | Marvel One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer (2011) | 3.5/5.0 | May 4, 2022

It’s only four minutes long, which left me wanting more; especially more Agent Coulson.

Despite its brevity, it still managed to make me smile, and that quick dose of humor was a nice little treat.

33 | The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) | 3.0/5.0 | May 17, 2021

I felt like the villain didn’t really make sense. He was young and dreamed of a better future, but then suddenly he burned a bunch of innocent civilians. It was hard to connect with his motivations.

This series had so much potential to make strong and meaningful political statements, but it all felt hollow and forced instead. I mostly enjoyed it, but I spent a fair amount of time feeling confused about the story and character choices.

34 | Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) | 3.0/5.0 | Jul 7, 2018

It’s kind of goofy that Ant-Man and the Wasp was actually the first Marvel movie I ever saw, especially since it’s a sequel to one of the least talked-about superheroes.

But after watching it, I ended up going back and watching all the other Marvel movies and have (mostly) kept up ever since.

Honestly, it was a pretty revolutionary day for me as a Marvel fan.

35 | Black Widow (2021) | 3.0/5.0 | Aug 20, 2022

They played it way too safe with this one. I waited years to see Natasha’s backstory and the infamous Red Room, hoping for a psychological thriller that really explored her trauma in depth. I wanted a raw, emotional journey. Instead, the movie focused too much on current-day events, which made it feel a bit shallow.

That said, Florence Pugh as Yelena was absolutely 10 out of 10. I’m completely obsessed with her performance. David Harbour was phenomenal too. The cast was fantastic and the character backstories had so much potential.

Overall the movie fell flat in delivering on that promise. The action was still great and very entertaining, and I loved the female-led focus. I just wish there had been more of Natasha’s past and less of the present.

36 | Werewolf by Night (2022) | 3.0/5.0 | Dec 17, 2022

Werewolf by Night was an interesting watch with a fresh take on the classic monster story. It had a cool atmosphere and some genuinely fun moments that kept me engaged. The practical effects and makeup work were impressive and really added to the spooky vibe.

That said, the story felt a bit predictable. It was entertaining enough but didn’t quite leave a lasting impact.

37 | Thor (2011) | 3.0/5.0 | May 8, 2022

Minus one star right away for the beached eyebrows and another for all the overused Dutch angles. They really hurt the movie’s visual flow.

Even though this is Thor’s first movie and covers his origin story, it’s honestly the weakest Thor film in the MCU. The foundation of Thor and Loki’s complicated brotherhood and rivalry is set here, which is important for the larger story, but the movie itself just doesn’t hold up well. Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and the writing for these characters get so much better in the movies that follow.

That said, I don’t feel any real connection between Thor and Jane throughout the film, which makes their relationship less convincing. On the bright side, this movie marks Darcy’s MCU debut, and I instantly fell in love with her character. She’s definitely one of the highlights and adds a lot of charm to the story.

38 | Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) | 3.0/5.0 | Oct 25, 2024

Some parts of Deadpool & Wolverine definitely made me giggle. The goofy, over-the-top humor is exactly why I love this franchise so much. In fact, the very first thing my now husband and I did together was watch Deadpool, so the silly craziness of these movies will always have a special place in my heart.

Also, a funny little memory: he was driving a Honda Odyssey at the time, which makes the whole experience even more hilarious to me now.

39 | I Am Groot: The Little Guy (2022) | 3.0/5.0 | Aug 17, 2022

This little guy might look cute but he’s wanted for war crimes including genocide. Don’t let the size fool you because there is more going on beneath the surface.

40 | I Am Groot: Magnum Opus (2022) | 3.0/5.0 | Aug 17, 2022

Even the smallest stories can make a big impact.

The animation is vibrant and expressive, perfectly capturing Groot’s lovable personality. It’s a fun and refreshing watch that feels like a true celebration of the character.

41 | I Am Groot: Groot Takes a Bath (2022) | 3.0/5.0 | Aug 17, 2022

Adorable from start to finish. Groot looked absolutely stunning here!

It’s a simple, charming short that really highlights just how lovable Groot is.

42 | Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King (2014) | 3.0/5.0 | May 15, 2022

Three little words: Lovely. Drugs.

All Hail the King is absolutely mindless entertainment, but it still works.

Plus, the great connection to Shang-Chi adds some cool depth and ties it nicely into the bigger MCU.

43 | Marvel One-Shot: Item 47 (2012) | 3.0/5.0 | May 9, 2022

Love me some Janis from Mean Girls. Even better seeing her fire off a stolen Chitauri weapon and rob a bank after the Battle of New York. Total chaos and totally entertaining.

This was such a fun little post-Avengers scene. Nothing too deep, but it was cool to see how regular people were affected by the aftermath of that huge event.

44 | Iron Man 2 (2010) | 2.5/5.0 | May 6, 2022

I’m still laughing at the moment when Tony tells Pepper, “i wAs gONnA mAKE yOU AN oMeLETTE AND tELL YOU!!!” That line cracks me up every time.

Outside of that, the movie was pretty meh overall. It didn’t really grab me, and honestly, I’m taking off a star just for the awkward Elon Musk cameo. Definitely not one of Marvel’s best.

45 | Captain Marvel (2019) | 2.5/5.0 | May 4, 2022

For the most part, I enjoyed the female empowerment vibes in this movie. Some parts were definitely cringey, but there’s no denying that having a female Air Force pilot in the 90s is seriously badass. That aspect felt fresh and inspiring.

That said, I was really disappointed with the story behind Fury’s eye. It felt so dumb compared to what I expected. Captain Marvel just didn’t have that classic, comical Marvel script that I love so much. I found myself getting bored a lot throughout the movie.

It’s wild to me that this character is supposed to be the most powerful Avenger, yet the movie overall was so poorly written.

46 | The Incredible Hulk (2008) | 2.5/5.0 | May 17, 2018

The Incredible Hulk was a hard watch for me. It didn’t really grab me, and the pacing felt off. The story didn’t quite land, and it lacked charm and energy. One watch was enough.

47 | Eternals (2021) | 2.5/5.0 | Dec 2, 2021

Huh?

I’m honestly not sure what to make of it. It was different from the usual Marvel vibe, but it didn’t really click with me. The story felt confusing at times and the pacing was off. Maybe it will make more sense once it truly ties into the MCU.

48 | The Marvels (2023) | 2.5/5.0 | Mar 18, 2024

The Marvels just kept testing my patience, but playing Cats the musical during the “cat” scene was my final straw. That choice was so extra and really pulled me out of the moment. The whole movie felt all over the place and trying too hard to be quirky.

49 | Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) | 2.5/5.0 | Oct 3, 2022

I think I said “this movie sucks” every single time they made a bad joke, which was basically every minute or two. The humor was so forced and hit or miss that it got exhausting fast.

That said, Christian Bale absolutely slayed. His performance was the highlight and brought some real intensity to the movie. Without him, I don’t know if I would have made it through.

50 | Thor: The Dark World (2013) | 2.5/5.0 | May 12, 2022

I’ve come to the hilarious realization that I have basically never seen this movie, or at least I don’t remember a single part of it. No wonder I was so confused about Loki mourning for his mother. This movie was forgettable enough that it basically doesn’t exist in my mind.

Loki’s insane trickery is what drives so much of the MCU, and honestly, it’s the only reason this movie didn’t absolutely suck. As for Natalie Portman, she was a bad pick for Jane. There’s zero chemistry between her and Thor, which made their relationship hard to buy.

51 | Secret Invasion (2023) | 2.0/5.0 | Dec 10, 2023

What even was that last episode? I’m honestly still trying to figure out what happened.

The whole season had me hooked, but that finale left me annoyed. It felt rushed, confusing, was edited horrifically, and didn’t deliver the payoff I was expecting.

52 | She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022) | 2.0/5.0 | Aug 17, 2022

She-Hulk introduced me to what might be the most educated pick-me I’ve ever seen on screen. Honestly, I could never be friends with someone like her. The character’s vibe just didn’t sit right with me, and it made the show hard to get into.

53 | I Am Groot: Groot’s First Steps (2022) | 2.0/5.0 | Aug 17, 2022

Groot is such a menace.

That little guy is insanely cute but also wild. Most of the short was baby Groot getting absolutely slaughtered, which wasn’t super enjoyable to watch, honestly. I was rooting for him to catch a break!

54 | Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant (2011) | 1.5/5.0 | May 8, 2022

This filled in some interesting gaps about how Tony, the general, and Hulk all connect. It helped add a bit more context to the bigger story, which I appreciated.

That said, it wasn’t very exciting to watch. It was more of a quick info dump than anything thrilling. Good for Marvel fans who want extra background, but don’t expect action or laughs.

55 | Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) | 1.0/5.0 | May 19, 2023

MODOK is literally Mr. Electric from Sharkboy and Lava Girl. I couldn’t take him seriously at all.

The quantum realm felt like a Star Wars wannabe, trying way too hard but falling flat. The graphics in this movie were honestly an insult and took me out of the experience.

What makes me so sad is how much I love Paul Rudd and his acting. He is the heart of Ant-Man but this script was just so bad it didn’t feel like the Ant-Man I’ve come to adore.

56 | Captain America: Brave New World (2025) | 1.0/5.0 | May 10, 2025

I’m continuously baffled at how bad the script was. Like, seriously, they spent $180 million on this mess? It felt like they rushed the story and threw in random scenes that didn’t make any sense. For a Marvel movie, that’s a huge disappointment.

I was expecting more after everything leading up to it, but instead, it just left me confused and kinda bored. Definitely not what I hoped for.

57 | Moon Knight (2022) | 1.0/5.0 | May 5, 2022

I dreaded watching every episode of Moon Knight. It was slow and kind of a struggle to get through. It did get better towards the end, but honestly, it was still pretty meh overall. Not really the kind of show that sticks with me.
